So, we went to a local store yesterday that sells therapy-type putty, but it's another small business which has closed. It was a really cool store with special products for children with special needs.

Where do you purchase yours? I'm going to check Rainbow Resource next.

You can buy "Thinking Putty" from ThinkGeek.com. It may be available more commonly, but I remember seeing it in their catalog. There are online stores targeted specifically for SN consumers that have all kinds of cool gizmos and gadgets. This one has quite a bit of stuff:

Walmart sells plain old silly putty in the cheapo toy section. :)

I have seen different types of putty at Timberdoodle but I am not sure if it is the same as you are seeking.

I don't know where my husband buys it. Most likely whatever is cheapest at the moment.

They have different levels of resistance to them (in case you didn't know that) (but you probably did). The different colors are the different kinds.

We have a couple of local, higher-end toy stores (not chains), and they sell the Thinking Putty.

I used to order my theraputty online; just Google theraputty and you'll find lots of places.

There's a store in a nearby mall that carries it. It's a small toy store that carries kites and expensive games. More upscale grown-up toys, not your usual toy store.
