I saw this the other day and downloaded it for possible use with my kids next year. It is mostly map oriented, but I had thoughts of adding in some books and stories to add some flavor to it!

Thanks, Paige!! I had posted here first, and then thought maybe not many would see it, so I put it there, too. :)

How indepth are you looking for?

Both Winter Promise & Sonlight have one, but it would depend on your age/grade range. WP has a higher learning expansion pack, but the SL one is more in depth. Both read quality literature based on the area you're studying. Winter Promise, has more mapping work though. Sonlight has the great literature where as Winter Promise has beautiful spines. If you take the literature from one & combine it with the spines & map work from the other you end up with something really well rounded. :D

I think My Father's World has something for a 9th grade level? I can't remember now. Can you tell we were looking for one too! ;)

Thanks Kendra!! I will check this out. :) I had forgotten about Winter Promise.

We are planning a 1-year geography focus, and I want to do it similar in style to unit study/FIAR, with the foods/recipes, literature, etc. from each area. :)

I found another resource that just might make a good spine, too (and also has maps, recipes, etc.):

Oh Ami! I wish I would've seen that book before I ordered the others--BUT, I went ahead and just ordered it tonight anyway! It looks amazing, and our dd LOVES anything by Apologia, so hopefully it will be a "hit"! ;)
