Has anyone used this? It looks great and I LOVE the price (compared to Rosetta Stone which is beyond our means this year). If you have used it, do I need the CD-Rom and the workbook too? Or can you do it with just the CD-Rom?

For the first one there is no workbook. It is just the CD ROM and I love it. If you get it on regular CD there is a book but it isn't a workbook it's just the pictures that go along with the book. I have been pleased with it.

Hmmmm... When I was looking at the website they had a level 1 Spanish that was a CD-ROM by itself ($55) and then a combo pack item with the CD-ROM and a workbook (?) for $99...So all I really need is the CD-ROM?

We have the book and the tapes...we follow along with the pictures in the book as we listen. Would the CDrom give you both at the same time?

The CD Rom gives you pictures and the audio at the same time. The $99 set includes step one and step 2 of the program. For step 1 (CD ROM) you don't need the book. You need the book and CDs for step 2.

We have French on cassette with the books and Spanish on the CD ROM.
