So we've just started Rosetta Stone Spanish, and everyone's having a ball. But I can tell that they just can't tell how southern U.S. their Spanish sounds. What would be some sources for exposing them to more Spanish? We do have Spanish language channels on the satellite, but I'm not really thinking telenovelas are exactly the way to go here. ;)

This might be a little juvenile in its approach, but this are simple stories (http://www.storyplace.org/sp/preschool/other.asp) to listen to online.

Check out your favorite movie DVDs--many of them have Spanish (and French) dubbed language options in the menus :)

Debbie, thanks for the link! I'm going to bookmark that for the boys. :)

Carol, there are audio companions to Rosetta Stone. Maybe your library has them.

Molly, I've never heard of audio companions to RS! I'll have to do some digging and see what I find! If you have any specifics on it I'd love to know!

It comes with the program (http://www.amazon.com/Rosetta-Stone-Version-Spanish-Companion/dp/B001AFDBBE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1255972374&sr=1-2). I don't see where you can buy them separately. That was why I suggested checking at the library.

Yes, the audio companions did come with our set. We're still so new to it that I haven't even put them in yet. I'll check them out.
