So how long do rattlesnakes gestate.....or whatever it is they do?:lol::eek: Gives me the shivers just thinking about it! Do they have live young or lay eggs?

Answered my own question about how they give birth. Here is a youtube video of a pygmy rattler giving birth. Kind of creepy, but interesting at the same time.

The "couple" caused quite a stir. The rangers came circled the site with yellow caution tape to give them privacy. ;)

Several campers stopped by to check it out. I spent a bit of time googling info and was able to share some new facts with the others gathered there.

I must say that when we started out on this trip last September, I had no clue I'd get to be this close and personal with nature. ;)

Debbie, did you catch that the gestation period is about 90 days? Luckily, we'll be long gone from this area by then. :lol:
