We usually begin our next school year the week following July 4th. I'm considering having my oldest take biology with a co-op, but classes don't begin until mid-late August. The class is one day a week, so most of the work is done at home.

Would you have him wait to begin and keep the schedule with the class, or stick with the home schedule and have the class be a reinforcement of material covered?

I'd wait and follow the co-op schedule for that subject so that it's fresh in his mind each week. Sounds like fun! :)

We do year-round schooling and participate in a science co-op that meets from August to April. So at home, the year-round schedule is for everything but science (though I document if they do extra science within their unit studies).

That does make the most sense, especially since it'll only be about a month off our schedule. Thanks for your input!
